Sunday School
Embury’s Sunday School includes something for every member of the family! It is held 9 – 10 a.m. most Sundays except during the summer school recess. Our Sunday School students begin their Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. with informal music in the church sanctuary (combined with Embury's informal service). The students then split up and go to their own classes.
Nursery is provided for the children under 2 at 9 a.m. informal service only. Preschool begins at age three and goes through through kindergarten; this class is taught by Bonnie Braun. Our first through fourth grade class is taught by Debby Kamp. The Preschool uses the Cokesbury Exploring Faith curriculum and the class for first through fourth graders uses the Gospel Light Series.
The Junior High class (grades 5-8) is taught by Pat McCrink. The Senior High class (grades 9-12) is taught by Sarah Choi. An Adult class is taught by Rich Roper and will cover various Biblical topics.
There are special events throughout the year including a Christmas pageant, Lenten classes, Promotion Sunday and Vacation Bible School in the summer.
Our Youth Groups (Jr. 5th through 8th and Sr. 9th and 12th) meet once a month for special activities.
